Builder / engineering leader

Technology should earn its place in people's lives.

I build useful products across AI, voice, privacy, and connected devices. Then I build the teams that can carry them.

01 / The thread

I keep coming back to the same kind of problem: ambitious technology, real people, and a reason to be careful. A voice computer before Alexa. Private AI for mental wellness. An app that keeps abandoned smart-home hardware alive.

02 / Selected work

Built for the real world.

Four products. Four different constraints. The same bias toward useful, durable systems.

03 / Leadership at scale

The product and the organization.

I have worked at both levels long enough to know they cannot be separated.

05 / About

A builder who learned to lead without stepping away from the work.

I have spent more than two decades moving between startups and large engineering organizations. I have written the code, owned the roadmap, hired the team, carried the pager, and sat with users when the first version missed the mark.

The job, as I see it, is to make hard technology understandable and useful. It is also to create a place where good people can disagree, learn, and do the best work of their careers.
